On to the next adventure! This weekend, I am leaving on a trip to camp in Yellowstone National Park. I will be cheating a bit, this time. I am loading my bike in the back of my trusty little pickup truck and driving out to the park. The weather in Yellowstone gets pretty chilly this time of the year and I will be spending four nights camping in the park.
If you recall from one of my previous posts, I stated, “Camping Sucks!” Well, this time, I decided to try Glamping. Because I will be driving my truck, I will have the ability to bring a big tent, giant air mattress, real pillows and blankets, a nice camp chair, a camp stove, a cooler…essentially, all the comforts of home!
I will be heading out solo and will be breaking the drive up into two days so that I can take my time and enjoy the scenery. I’ll be camping in the Nez Perce National Forest in Idaho on the first night, driving through Lolo Pass the next day, and arriving to Yellowstone through the West Entrance. I may spend a night in Grand Tetons National Park, just South of Yellowstone, on the way home.
Hopefully, you won’t see a blog post titled, “Glamping Sucks!” Wish me luck!
